An elder said how will Jehovah and Jesus know your hours if you don't hand in a time report. The last CO said right from the platform it doesn't matter if the governing body is wrong, you listen to them for it means your life. An elders wife said that very same thing over a two year period at least a dozen times in her comments. An elder conducting the watchtower said our watchtowers are filled with holy spirit A cobe announced our new ms as I don't want anyone to think there was any simony here but so and so is now an ms

It wouldn't surprise me with the toilet paper because the last time we met up with missionaries from Africa they said that before you go to use the washroom there's a brother and sister sitting handing out only two squares of toilet paper to each person. One for pee and one for poo. I laughed and said your joking and they said no. But their bethel home has no rations when it comes to their people. I guess you would have to drip dry on the one and use the two for the other hoping you don't get the hershy squirts.

Unbelievable Assertion!!!!!!!
by The Searcher inwe had our special assembly day this weekend.. what the district overseer stated in his talk totally stunned me, and made me feel sick to my stomach.
he said, "christ is directing us through the governing body, and we cannot get holy spirit except through them!".
i do not wish to reveal all my thoughts on his statement, but i pray to god that it acts as a wake-up call to at least some of the audience.. suffice to say that the gb is now the mediator to our mediator, and from now on, i will have to pray for holy spirit through the name of the gb!!.

Gopher, we were only in it for nine years, approx., and I remember Ken Little from bethel saying at an assembly that everytime we open up our bibles. we recieve holy spirit. That was about six or seven years ago. I wonder what he must be thinking. I also remember not long ago a DO Mcfadden stateing we must be obedient to the fds in order to recieve salvation. I wonder what he's thinking now.

Out our way the dutch love their horse meat. First time I saw horse steaks in the grocery store grossed me out. But then again, some butchers will sell you salami and not tell you it's really donkey meat. Cheaper to make. In China they eat dog. Take your pick

as it is carnival season in germany and the daughter of my girl-friend is in a dance group that performs at carnival sessions, we went today to see her appearance, not knowing that it took place in a home for mentally handicapped people.. the hall wasnt that big, maybe room for one hundred people, but it was crowded.

Borges, I commend you for going and being not only apart of your daughters life but the life of all those people. I grew up with two handicapped siblings. One died at eleven. He would take up to fifty-two seizures in a day. Twice I remember the ambulance taking him away in the middle of the night and then he lived out his last year at sick childrens hospital. He had insephilitus of the brain set in and later bled to death. I have another sister who is in a home where they really do care for these guys. She has cerebral palsy, rare eye disorder where eyes shake along with the whole body non stop and is mentally handicapped as well. She's in her mid fifty's now. She went into the home after mom took her own life with an overdose. Now my sister is ageing ontop of her disabilities and I just wonder trying to make sense of all of this. I just can't. I remember taking my sister to the hall before I stopped going and only one kind sister came over and held her hand as I went to the bathroom and cried. People just stood at a distance and stared and it made me feel awkward. When I saw how tough life can be for some and then I see all sorts of rubbish and backbiteing going on over petty crap in the congregations, I said to myself I don't have time for this. When you hear from the platform that half of us are here to torment the other half I asked myself what does my sister and others in the home think about. Probably when is their next meal, or next bath, You know, just wondering how to survive and when will a family member come to visit. My family members say they can't bring themselves to going in these places with these kind of freaks and yes those were the exact words they used. My handicapp sister will rock back and forth on her bed with a smile and can't wait for them to come and visit. It's been almost thirty years and still no visit from any of them. I admire people who can look for the good in others. I still want to look for the good in god and believe he'll do right even if it meant me dieing in order for her to live. That was nice you went. The other kids in the home will not forget you.

Double standards for elders?
by El_Guapo ini read a post on this site that said that there is a double standard for elders as opposed to regular r&f publishers.
can't seem to find it now, but i believe it was in the elders manual stating this....... thinking back, i can vividly remember one instance: the po's (a superstar in the district) daughter was getting married.
she was marrying a "brother" who was only baptized but 3 months, yet the were able to use the hall for their wedding.. another brother in our hall (about 2 years later) was planning on getting married, he asked for permission to use the hall for his wedding and was told that his service hours were too low (he was averaging about 3-5 hours a month) i asked him later why he was so pissed at the elders and he said this was the reason.. has anyone else ever noticed this "double-standard"?.

Just in one hall and on one body of elders: The cobe had two sons. The older one dinky dipped before he got married and his younger brother got caught with dirty pics of himself with others on facebook(now removed). Their reward was bethel but younger one was asked to leave bethel once they caught wind of what he did and the older one fessed up after his stay and was no longer pioneer or ms. He wasn't allowed to get married in the hall but wasn't made public untill the day of the wedding and a big sign was put on the kingdom hall doors that the wedding would be at a certain address with maps under a big rock for people to take. Cobe's relative who also was on the body of elders was caught underage drinking but able to pioneer. Cobe knew about a brother who was living commonlaw with a worldly woman and covered it up. He even gave a local needs on marrying outside of the lord. Hypocrite! Plus, his son makes it on the news doing over 200kms and when the police tried to catch him he sped up. He even made the news stations. Nothing happened. Move to another hall and an elder there has a sixteen yearold daughter pregnant, brings worldly boyfriend to memorial and elder gets to say the closeing prayer. Then we have a brother who doesn't come to the meetings, he's df'd, gets reinstated so hopefully his wife won't leave him, after he's reinstated he smashes his wifes car by hand, gets a worldly girl that works for him to forge a legal document and is still coming on to his female staff and nothing is done. He gets all elders doteing on him. These guys must think we've all gone to idiot school or something.

THE OX and THE TRUTH
by Terry insometimes an ox gets sick and dies.. .
when your ox dies you don't just lose an ox.. nope.. you lose all the money you spent on that ox.. you lose all the feed you ever fed it.. you lose the time spent taking care of it.. this includes any veteranarian bills as well.. you can't eat the meat from a dead sick ox either, so, you lose the meal or the sale of the meat as well!.
what about using that chain of reasoning on the truth (or so-called) of jehovah's witnesses.. .

And when that farmer goes to bury his animal he makes sure it's not near water sources where it could contaminate drinking water and has to be deep enough due to killer gases like anthrax or disseases. Ummm, didn't I read on Marvin Shilmers site that brooklyn got caught with burying ink containers near water sources and were fined? They should practice what they preach about making this earth a paradise or has that light changed? I'll stick with the ox too!
